​The Sunshine Report History​

For over two decades, Boyd Lee, a resident of Ranchero Village, created, maintained and distributed the Sunshine Report.  This report is a summary of the happenings that occurred at the Saturday Coffee gatherings.

 

The distribution of the Sunshine Report was initially created to keep everyone (who doesn’t make it to coffee on Saturdays) up to date on Ranchero Village activities and news, via email. It was particularly relevant for seasonal residents so that they could keep in touch with goings on while they were not physically present at the park.  This evolved into a “keep in touch” type of correspondence, especially for elderly and former residents of the park. This report was a way for people to maintain their friendships, as well as stay in contact with current residents after they left.

It was announced at Saturday Coffee on November 22, 2025 that Boyd would no longer be able to publish the Sunshine Report.

​

The HOA volunteered to take on the responsibility of publishing the Sunshine Report on the HOA website.  The HOA will post new Sunshine reports to our website as soon as possible.  Our first post is from Saturday Coffee on November 22, 2025.
